The purple Allium ‘Gladiator’ is a giant ornamental onion; it is ideal for adding interest to all garden schemes whether traditional or contemporary. Not only is it easy to grow, it flowers from late spring until mid summer and is the perfect plant for attracting beneficial bees to the garden. It is also an unusual and interesting addition to flower arrangements. Height: 1.2m (4 ft). Supplied in 2 litre pots.

Alliums should be planted in a sunny position in free draining soil.
Alliums thrive in dry sunny conditions so feeding and watering should not be necessary except on the driest of soils. Alliums will not repeat flower in the same year. Their faded spherical flower heads can be removed after flowering if necessary; however they will make a wonderful architectural display in the autumn if left intact.
